It’s about 2:50AM, and I’m having trouble sleeping. Why? Possibly because I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how I can get down to Lotusphere. I can’t think of anything to present, so an abstract is out. I haven’t formally asked the company I work for if I can go yet, but based on how they are doing as a company, I think that I’m going to get shut out for the second year in a row. I know I come back from the ‘Sphere with more energy, and with more knowledge than I can get from any Google search out there. I also get to touch base with my friends out there (and people who don’t know that I consider them my friends). I had a bad dream this morning that one of my co-workers were sent by my company and I wasn’t. This time of year drives me nuts….

I’m going to try to sleep again…wish me luck!

I know I’ve been off everyone’s radar for a while. I promise to make it up as best as I can. As you can see, I’m not on Blogsphere right now…I’m using Blogger for the time being. I’m attempting to make some changes to my regular site, so this will have to do for now. If you are following me by RSS, you’re not seeing this unless you changed your feed. It’s been over a month since my last entry. There’s a lot going on in my life right now. I’m trying to make some ‘life’ decisions that will affect the pride… even the Pridelands itself. Those of you that are still stopping by that know of any Domino people down in Florida, please send me a quick email at raybilyk@gmail.com . I might need your help….

This is the first opportunity I’ve had to use the Internet here. My company has sold my services to another training organization that has sold a class to a government agency. (I like to think of it as my company ‘pimping’ me to someone.) I’m currently training a great bunch of students down here. A lot of questions that are keeping me on my toes.

Thank you to everyone who came to Kiara’s Birthday Party, which was held at Jungle Java. We’re sorry that it was a bit crowded, but we hoped that everyone had a good time. Yesterday, I heard of the passing of a friend and golf buddy, David Wood (in picture, far left) after a long illness. His brother, Bill (in picture, 4th from left), is one of my supervisors (and a friend). David’s one of the coolest guys I know. Despite his size, he could crank a golf ball, but never let it get to his head. He just enjoyed the game. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to golf again with him last July, and hope that he has a beer waiting for me back in the “clubhouse in the sky”.
