I’ve been so deep into this project that I haven’t had a chance to notice that IBM placed a new certification out there… IBM Certified Advanced Security Professional – Notes and Domino 7. (Thanks to Chris Miller (idonotes) and my buddy, Chris Byrne (The Business Controls Caddy) for the heads-up on this. I knew it was coming, but for some reason, it didn’t click that it was now.

To get this certification, you must be an IBM Certified System Administrator – Lotus Notes and Domino 7 and you must pass Exam 755 (IBM Lotus Notes Domino 7 Implementing and Administering Security), which is a new exam. What makes this exam unique is that you have to have an overall passing score of 75 AND a passing score of 75 IN EACH SECTION! This one’s going to be more difficult folks… I LOVE IT!!! You either know security or you don’t… no two ways about it! I can’t wait to give this exam a spin.

Always remember to check your levels and verify that you are receiving signals from all your channels, not just your microphone.

Translated, this means that the podcast I made late last night is unusable. I’ll try it again tonight.

Thanks to Spanky’s blog, I found out that the Lotusphere 2007 registration is now open. It looks like they’re also asking for abstracts. I’m going to try it again…

Gregg Eldred’s blog entry first caught my interest (sorry if someone else mentioned it first), but according to his sources (LotusUserGroup.org), Lotusphere 2007 registration will open in mid-August, with the discount ending on October 13th. Time to start looking for pennies under my sofa.

This is a small screen capture of what I’m seeing on a Windows XP Pro machine with the language pack installed with the Arabic version of Lotus Notes. (This is from the mail database):

If I remove the Arabic language pack from XP, then the drop down works, but the title bar, the direction of the toolbars, etc. are wrong. Does anyone have any ideas, because I’m running out of them???

Many of my friends and family fought (and sometimes died) so that we have the right to vote for people to represent us in government. It may not be the best system, but it’s the best one out there. If you live in Michigan, please get out and VOTE!!!!

I’m working on a project with an Arabic version of Lotus Notes (6.5.2) on Windows 2000 with the server being Domino 6.5.2 with the Arabic language pack. When the client opens up their mail file (with either Domino Web Access (6) or Mail (6) template), the action buttons have question marks as the first item. When I open up that same mail database from a US Notes client, the Arabic in the cascaded action bar items look fine. Any thoughts???
