Lotusphere 2012 – I’m here!

From the moment I got off the plane, I’ve had one thing on my mind… Sorry, can’t tell you what it is, but if you care, feel free to ping me @raybilyk on Twitter or just stop by the OpenNTF booth this week and ask.

What I didn’t expect, is all the love I’ve received from everyone… These people are like a second family to me, and I have some really strong friendships from attending this event. It feels like home…

What I know I will get out of this event is more outstanding knowledge, and even stronger friendships… I hope to get something else, but I can’t what it is in this forum… (See paragraph 1).

I will try to update this blog with whatever I can. Please be patient if I’m ‘a bit late’…

Time to go see more of ‘my second family’!

Lotusphere 2012 – It’s True! It’s Damn True!

As some of you figured out by now thru Twitter and Facebook, I’m heading down to Orlando to visit my ‘Lotus’ family and catch up. I will be working a pedestal for OpenNTF, so make sure you stop by and see me… I want to see EVERYONE this week.
I have other reasons for coming to #LS12, but this is not the best venue to explain… see me for details. Let’s just say that I’m testing the power of “Social Business” and “Community” to help me. It’s never failed me so far…
Ping me when you get down there, or ping me if you want updates on something specific…

Lotusphere 2012: Something I don’t get about Lotusphere Online… er, I mean, Social Business Online

OK, if anyone reads this, it will upset a few people… It’s just something I don’t get….

It seems that Lotusphere ‘attendees’ can now access what used to be called “Lotusphere Online” at http://www.socialbizonline.com/

Here’s my issue… Some #LS12 attendees aren’t ‘attendees’, but attend Lotusphere. They are the ones that are registered as EXHIBITORS. They don’t get to attend any sessions, but get to participate in some of the Lotusphere fun.

I guess that’s okay, but they are not even given access to Lotusphere Online (now known as “Social Business Online 2012”) so they can keep up with everything.

If Lotusphere is about “Business. Made Social.”, then why can’t the EXHIBITORS be given access to these SOCIAL BUSINESS elements?

I guess it’s a bit disappointing, but it will make sense some day… Can anyone help me with this?

Lotusphere 2012 – It’s not too late to submit a BOF (Birds of a Feather) Session!

They opened a community for Lotusphere on Lotus Greenhouse. (Go HERE to access it! MUST REGISTER FOR LOTUS GREENHOUSE FIRST) In this community, there is an Ideation Blog where you can vote on what BOF’s you are interested in attending. What they also have is a link where you can submit new BOF ideas. (Some people have already submitted new good ideas.)

Deadline is in the next 2 days, so get your ideas in now!!!

Lotusphere 2012 Sessions Information is out… What great speakers and sessions!

Wow! Just… wow! There are some GREAT SESSIONS at Lotusphere 2012! The speaker list is ‘off the hook’ as well! (I tried by submitting a session or two, but wasn’t picked… based on what they are going to see at #LS12, they won’t miss me!)

If you are still on the fence about attending Lotusphere 2012, here’s five reasons to attend (courtesy of IBM): TOP FIVE REASONS TO ATTEND LOTUSPHERE 2012

If you want to see the session list, click here (courtesy of IBM). I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before we see Ben Langhinriches from Genii Software and Tim Davis of the Turtle Partnership release the ultra awesome Lotusphere Sessions application for Lotus Notes and mobile devices. (It sounds like they’re going to supercharge it for 2012… can’t wait!)
