The Future of Notes/Domino

jonvon has an interesting discussion going on at his blog about the future (not ND7, but ND8) of Notes/Domino with some nice thoughts taken from Andrew Pollack’s blog. The firefighting Notes guru has been under the hood on some future stuff, and although he can’t say much, he does like what he sees.

As a Notes/Domino instructor, I’ve been trying to plan out my future. So far, it’s been like, ‘Hang on and go for the ride,’ but now I’m feeling a bit better. I still have a lot of work to do, but at least I don’t feel like I’m going to get lost in the shuffle. I still want to teach, but every day (and every paycheck) keeps me asking if this is going to get any better. jonvon and Andrew have me at least being able to breathe.

How do you feel about your future in Notes/Domino? What do you tell others when they ask what they need to know to continue doing what they’re doing?

  • hey ray thanks for the mention man…

i’m more relaxed about the whole notes thing than i have been for a long while. whatever they do or don’t do with the marketing message, at the end of the day code talks. the marketing is important, but so are the results on the ground. i think it is just getting better and better with all these new releases coming out.
