Today sucks!

I found this entry dated March 26th, 2007. The funny thing is that after this morning, it is as relevant today as it was then…

Entry Title: This weekend has taught me… IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE!
On Friday, I had given up on life itself after what I believe is the worst day I’ve ever had at work. This has been an ongoing thing with me… I’m currently at a crossroads of my life, and I’ve been feeling very lost, both professionally and personally. I’ve been working many long, hard hours (many it seems have not been noticed by anyone but my pride), and have been coming home angry, depressed, tired or a combination of all three. I went home Friday night and cried for about four hours. Something had to change. My daughter and wife shouldn’t be responsible for bringing me back to normalcy every night. Things will have to change… even if it means making DRAMATIC CHANGES that will affect my entire family!

Something’s gotta give, but I’m afraid that it’s me…

Lotus Notes/Domino 8 is AVAILABLE!

The suspense was killing most of us Lotus fans as IBM Lotus Notes 8 and IBM Lotus Domino 8 was released this early this morning. It’s been fun watching as people have been downloading and installing it for use. Many of my Lotus ‘comrades’ have already upgraded their servers. It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet!

This blog has been running on ND8 Beta 3 with no problems. Hopefully some time this weekend will be spent upgrading the OS and the Domino server. (I’ve been running this on a ‘non-supported’ OS.)

Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival

On Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th, the Michigan Brewers Guild is hosting the 10th annual Summer Beer Festival. 35 breweries and 2 collaborative projects will present almost 250 beers featuring 40 different styles and types of beer. Normally, my wife and I would attend both days, but because of the Pridelands move, we decided to only go on Saturday.

Tickets are on sale at a discount online, and can be purchased at the gate. Get more information about the festival by going to the Michigan Brewers Guild website.

Hope to see you there!
