The Cost(s) of Lotusphere 2009

Pretty soon it will be upon us… Lotusphere 2009! It looks like some of you are already making plans. For those organizations that may have a few dollars in the budget, let me ask:

How much will Lotusphere 2009 cost? How much will tickets cost? How about rooms? Any costs that people have encountered that they didn’t expect?

Another question… I know that people have come up with presentations on why they should go to Lotusphere… Where are they? If there can be a ‘centralized’ location for all of these, it will make it easier to get the information you need to plan for next year’s (or if you’re lucky, this year’s) budget.

You never know who this may help…

UPDATE: TSM for Domino mail servers

Thanks to Keith Brooks, Jim Casale, Rob McDonagh, and Chuck Dean for their comments and advice on this issue, which involved a comment from Tivoli Support that stated that we had to remove Windows Terminal Services (Remote Desktop) because of issues with backing up our Domino Server with TSM. Based on your suggestions, we tested running Remote Desktop with the /console switch. It worked as you all said… THANK YOU!

I knew I could depend on my friends in the community once again.

Anyone out there using TSM for Domino mail servers running on Windows?

We’re being told by TSM Support that we cannot use Terminal Services (Remote Desktop) to remotely access our servers to perform backups and restores. The symptom is that during the backup, it would not backup what are considered to be the normal Domino database files while a server is up and running (log.nsf, names.nsf, etc.). The log indicates the error ‘database is currently being used by someone else’.

I find this really hard to believe… Does anyone have any thoughts? Is anyone else out there using TSM on Domino mail servers and accessing their machines remotely?
