Best Practices for ACL settings on Domino mail files?
Twitter seems to be acting up, so I guess I’ll ask it here:
Does anyone know of any best practices regarding the Administration Server for a mail file. I’m especially interested in anyone’s experiences with setting the reader/author fields settings there.
Congratulations Detroit Red Wings – Stanley Cup Champions!
Hey hey Hockeytown!
Congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings for winning the Stanley Cup in a great series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Congratulations to Henrik Zetterberg for winning the Conn Smythe award for most valuable player. This gives the Wings their 11th Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history.
(As I was listening to the game on WXYT 97.1FM ‘The Ticket’, I noticed that it didn’t sound like the regular play-by-play guy, Ken Kal. I just found out that Ken Daniels did the play-by-play up until the last few moments because Ken Kal had laryngitis.)
The parade will be on Friday at 11AM. The Detroit TV stations will probably stream it live on their websites. Leave a comment if you would like links.
I can’t seem to blog from Flickr anymore
I’ve tried to blog from Flickr as I’ve done before, but I’m having problems. Flickr said that it’s worked, but I can’t find the blog entry…
Any thoughts?
UPDATE: I went to the ‘All Documents’ view in Blogsphere, and the blog entries are there, but they claim to use the ‘Blog’ form instead of the standard ‘content_BlogEntry’ form. Any thoughts now?
I didn’t mean to be one of ‘those guys’
I didn’t think that the title would be a big deal…
At least Planet Lotus thinks I’m hot…
What a day to work with IBM/Lotus!
As of this morning, we can download Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5 Public Beta… and you can download Lotus Symphony 1.0! Busy download weekend for me!
I lost a friend and a mentor today
As you grow up around the Knights of Columbus, you learn who is talking to you, and who is talking DOWN to you. Sir Knight John Pociask never talked down to me, even as a kid. When I became a Knight, he still would find a way to keep me humble. He would listen to me when I would complain about something, then he’d tell me to snap out of it. He was a friend to my family, and knew how to tell a good joke. He worked hard, then enjoyed the rewards of that hard work, including a very fast car that got him in trouble now and then. (I guess he was somewhat like Ricky Bobby… I wanna go FAST!)
I lost this mentor today after a long illness. I will miss him, and I hope that I can honor his memory.
You can go fast now, John… you can go fast…
Amazing Feeling
Yesterday was the first time I could see and feel the baby kick me. Wow it was great. I keep trying to have Kiara or Ray try to feel the baby but they might get a little twich but not much feeling but of course I was alone both times I saw the kick. The kicks are very hard to me but I am hoping soon that Kiara and Ray can feel the baby like I can. We are going to be in our 24th week tomorrow.
We have started D-junking our room that will be the new office. Wow the stuff you collect over the years. We will be having a hugh yard sale soon.
Well I hope that everyone reading is having a great day. Take Care,
Jen
Memorial Day – A day to give thanks and remember
On this Memorial Day, I want to give thanks to all of those soldiers who defend and protect my family and me. I’ve always admired those that could do this… because I know that I can’t. My heart also goes out to those families that have loved ones that are not with them because they are away defending our nation’s interests, and those that will not see those loved ones again. My father fought in World War II and my father-in-law fought in two tours of Vietnam. I’ve also got former Squires (and now brothers/friends) that are overseas doing what they gotta do.
For all of you, all I can say is THANKS!
Tour de Hops – Stop 8 (final) – Big Buck Brewery
We stopped off at Big Buck Brewery in Gaylord. I had the raspberry wheat and Jim had the Blackriver (oatmeal) stout. Very good! We also had crackers, cheese and venison sausage, some beer cheese soup and venison reubens. Very tasty, even if our bartender tried to charge is for an extra beer. It was an excellent day, and now we have just one hour left of driving until we get to the Mackinac Bridge to go to St. Ignace. We’ll see you all tomorrow!
